2 Timothy 3:13-16 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Satan is deceiving so many into believing lies and false narratives. There are times I will watch the news or read a post on social media and wonder what would possess people to even think in such ways. There is a large group within our generation today that have been spiritually blinded and have turned away from the truths of God’s Word. The culture pushes in one direction, and the Word of God pulls us in another.
God’s Word is truly counter cultural. We are commanded to continue in what we have learned through the Word of God. Regardless of what direction the crowd goes, we are to continue in God’s Word. The evil is going to grow stronger, but we must continue in what we have learned. As the narratives of the world becomes more deceptive and seducing, we must continue in God’s Word. We have to understand the Bible is profitable. It is beneficial. It truly offers answers for life’s questions. We are responsible for teaching those truths, but at the same time we must help the next generation realize they must continue regardless of what the crowd does or believes.
In the craziness of this world we are currently living in, we must continue in God’s Word. We must be able to hold God’s Word up in the backdrop and see what is right and what is wrong. Continue in what we have learned from God’s Word.
