Securing Principles from Jesus Christ

John 11:25-26 “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth shall never die.  Believest thou this?

It is amazing what happens when a person places their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.  This statement is full of blessings and promises that help comfort those that have trust Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

  • It is a Salvation Statement:  This takes all the work out of salvation.  We learn that Jesus Christ is sufficient when it comes to the area of salvation.  Life is truly experienced one believes in Jesus Christ.  There is no magic formula, no steps, and no hoops to jump through when it comes to salvation.  All it takes is belief!
  • It is a Sustaining Statement:  There are promises found in God’s Word that sustain us.  It says that those that believe in Jesus Christ shall live.  Jesus Christ teaches that He is the true giver of life and the person that places their faith and trust in Christ shall discover the sustaining grace of God.
  • It is a Securing Statement:  This settles the argument of eternal security.  Those that believe in Christ shall never die!  That does not change over time.  A person could lose it if they did it.  However, salvation is not about what we do, it is about what Christ has done.  Those that place their faith in Christ find themselves secure in the Rock of Ages!

Today’s Challenge:  Trust Christ!  Rest in what has been done rather than what you try to do!
